MARK
RICHIE SAMBORA
Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals
Founding member and manager of Wrong Jovi, Mark has been working in the music industry since the age of 16. Mark has performed across the country with various artists as well as working as an in demand session guitarist from his home studio, featuring on recordings from around the world. Mark is also preparing to release his own album and guitar tuition book in the near future.
In 2017 Mark graduated from the University of Surrey with a Masters Degree in Musicology - his dissertation focused on authenticity and female empowerment in the music, lyrics and videos of Bon Jovi - he is also currently planning his thesis for PhD study.
Richie Sambora was responsible for Mark picking up the guitar, aged 13, with the intention of forging a career in music. Needless to say, Sambora's style is evident in Marks playing. Mark also contributes backing vocals and, occasionally, lead vocals as well as acting as Musical Director for the band. He is also a proud endorsee of Atlas Custom Guitars, KLD Guitar Amps and Burleska clothing.
Mark is also a well respected songwriter, producer and tutor of contemporary music. He currently lectures on contemporary guitar performance and music technology at Luton Sixth Form College. Since forging a career in music at such a young age, Mark has worked with Christina Novell (#1 selling Dance act), Charles Foskett of Shmusicmusic (Ringo Starr, Cliff Richard & Bonnie Tyler), Karl Johnson (opening act for Bon Jovi & Nickelback in 2006) and Tee Green (East 17, Blue & Kylie Minogue) to name but a few.
